Exploring Flight! (Ada Twist, Scientist: The Why Files #1)

Exploring Flight! is the first book in Ada Twist, Scientist: The Why Files, a full-color nonfiction early reader series. This 80-page hardcover is written by Andrea Beaty and Dr. Theanne Griffith and illustrated by David Roberts, and it’s based on the Ada Twist, Scientist series on Netflix and Beaty’s bestselling Questioneers books.

Ada Twist, the curious young scientist, takes young readers through the questions kids ask about flying: why airplanes look the way they do, why baby birds can’t fly right away, and why some paper planes go farther than others. The 80-page book covers creatures that fly, the history of aircraft, and the modern technology that lets us fly faster than ever. It’s aimed at ages 5 to 8 (kindergarten through third grade).
