B-2A Spirit Units in Combat
B-2A Spirit Units in Combat
B-2A Spirit Units in Combat is a 96-page paperback from Osprey Publishing, number 64 in its Combat Aircraft series. It’s written by defense and aviation historian Thomas Withington, and illustrated by Chris Davey.
The B-2A Spirit stealth bomber was conceived to fight the Cold War, but it went on to serve in the post-Cold War era and the War on Terrorism. The book follows the B-2 from its requirements, development, design, and test phase through its early combat service, including Operation Iraqi Freedom, and looks ahead to the aircraft’s future.
It includes about 100 color illustrations and 40 black-and-white illustrations. It’s a good fit for aviation readers, modelers, and anyone interested in the B-2 stealth bomber.
